IFC Films has acquired U.S. rights to the movie "Carlos", directed by Olivier Assayas. IFC plans to release an abridged version of the three-part miniseries a fall 2010 . Ilich Ramirez Sanchez, better known as Carlos the Jackal, who planned a erie of revolutionary actions in Europe and the Middle East in the 70 and 80. "Carlos" is starring Edgar Ramirez ("Che") with a cast of France, Germany, Japan and the Middle East.
The film, which will air next year on Canal Plus, was shot in Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Lebanon and Morocco. This produced by StudioCanal, Film in stock Topper Daniel Leconte and Jens Meuer in association with Sundance Channel. StudioCanal negotiated the deal on the American Film Market.
